Listening to other perspectives, including HR

Despite some 'I hate HR' rhetoric in the Orientation, many HR teams understand how their businesses could be more human, compelling and adaptable.  This common issue is they can't get traction in their organisations.

To correct this, HR tries to get closer to the rest of the business, be more like the rest of the business, talk the language of business ie Finance, use metrics and analytical like the rest of the business, etc.  and we lose the different set of perspectives that could have been more valuable.

We do need to get closer to our businesses but we also need to shape these to be more open to diverse perspectives and different ways of thinking and operating, including our own.
