Empowered Enthusiasm: we have permission to act and do so with zeal

By Keith Gulliver on June 5, 2013

I originally referenced this principle here ==> http://www.mixhackathon.org/hackathon/contribution/six-principles-adapta...

Set out below are a few more of my thoughts on this principle.

People in adaptive organisations:

  • Are empowered to make decisions at the point it matters most: customer interaction

  • Have autonomy: permission is neither sought nor given, it's not in the vocabulary

  • Have the freedom to experiment

  • Are encouraged to take sensible risks

  • Are passionate about what they do

  • Ooze enthusiasm, it's contagious
