We must have objective measures for being adaptable and the things that drive adaptability and how those translate to the business mission, bottom line and customer outcomes.
From my experience HR has lacked objective metrics when it comes to what works and what does not when change is required, when new things are implemented and whenever a strategic human capital 'event' occurs in the organization. Additionally the measures that have been 'wired' have been top-down with little room for change themselves or individulization at the role or human level.
To truly be adaptable, we have to be able to implement, change, calibrate and report on measures that are objective, relevant and individualized.
