Free access to information is key, but it could become soon overwhelming to handle all the information in a smart way which is available. Employee need to be empowered by appropriate technology to get individual view of the company. What kind of information is really relevant to me? It is about analytics, metrics, but also knowledge. On a regular basis it has to be checked what are new categories, tags and so on which are available and useful to be presented to me.
Categorize and tag all the information. This will start on an individual basis. Each individual has to make his or hers access to all the information open to everyone in the company.
Each piece of information needs metadata which tell others where it is needed and who uses it. This should make it easier to identify relevant information.
When I want to build up my own dashboard, I can start with the most recommended information. As I start using completely new information, this will show up as a recommendation with my peers.
