Set out below are a few more of my thoughts on this principle.

In adaptive organisations:

• People from around the world use collaborative technologies to work in virtual communities

• Individuals develop their skills and knowledge through different experiences over time and as they grow they share with others through their collaborative efforts

• Collaboration stimulates creativity and leads to innovation

• Access to expertise across the whole organisation provides competitive advantage
