DELL and the Management Innovation eXchange (MIX) are inviting IT and business leaders to identify practical ways in which technology can help bust bureaucracy. This initiative takes the form of a hackathon—an online problem-solving process that harnesses the collective intelligence of progressive technologists and management practitioners from around the world.
The hackathon is a hands-on, collaborative effort focused on finding, developing, and eventually implementing real-world solutions that can be experimented within in our companies—not someday, but today. It is based on the MIX’s groundbreaking methodology that will help participants:

How do traditional, bureaucratic management practices create inefficiencies and wasted energy that make organizations much less adaptable, inspiring, and engages places to work?
DISTILL THE FEATURES OF POST-BUREAUCRATIC ORGANIZATIONS
What are the new management practices that will help capture the benefits of bureaucracy (focus, efficiency, and scale) without the costs (e.g., inertia, incrementalism, and disengagement)?
JOINTLY INVENT MANAGEMENT HACKS
What are the most radical yet practical ideas for how technology and IT can enable these new, post-bureaucratic management practices?
